Trouble changing passwords

Hello,

I'm having some trouble managing accounts via the admin "Sales > Accounts" module. I am able to update all information except the password. When I execute an update, it takes me back to the account listing screen as expected. With the exception of the password, all information that I changed is updated correctly. I can't make a blanket statement and say that EVERYTHING is updated because I didn't try changing every field, but I did make some random edits and those fields updated ok. However, if I logout and try to login with the password that I just changed, it doesn't work. If I use the original password, it does work. Can you provide any insight to what would cause this issue?

Can you provide which version of the software you are using?

You may also want to look at the code in the Change Password link on the left nav of the admin.
