autocoupon

A wellcome features would be to automaticaly offer coupon according to some cases like :
- new member
- email validation
- godson registering (if this feature would be available, see my next post)
- and so on

For the moment, we can't do that. The coupon can be offer only by admin web interface and it's not very practical in many production web sites.

Workaround using a default coupon

Good suggestion. One workaround right now is to create a default coupon (with a limited quantity) and then provide the coupon code in the welcome email message. This will allow new users to take advantage of the coupon.

Also, with version 4.4 you will be able to attach the coupon to a specific product or profile. So for instance only specific users (connected to a profile) will be able to see this discount.
